The Pro Bagger System was originally designed for Mark O'Shea, who wanted a collapsible, lightweight bagging system for work in the field. He field tested it for more than a year before Midwest decided to release it to the public.
Weighing only 1 1/2 pounds, this collapsible snake bagger rides comfortably on your hip in an open sheath and is super compact at only 22" long x 5" wide x 1-1/2" thick. It may be carried on your hip or belt until needed. The 55" bag with restraining tub attachment sleeve is made of ripstop nylon. It comes complete with a sheath that may be attached to your belt to keep your hands free. Then when a snake is spotted you can use a hook or tong, then when you are ready using only one hand, reach for the Pro Bagger. With a simple flick of the wrist, the system will lock into place and you are ready to bag the snake. Overall the size is 36 inches, but with a push of a button it can be extended to 48". This unit will be most useful for researchers and others wanting these capabilities. The triangular shaped hoop is approximately 20" wide and 15" out from the handle. Warning: There is no top bar on the triangle that can be used to pin the bag shut! This is necessary to allow for the collapsibility of this unit. You will love this tool.
