The Western Tanager is one of our favorite birds. The colorful male is easily identified by any birder. You can ID the female by looking at the dark wings with 2 wing bars. The bill is stouter than the oriole's beak. Once you have identified this bird you need to celebrate with a great pair of socks with Western Tanagers on them.
Made of lightweight stretch cotton, they will hold their shape, wick moisture and protect your feet from blisters.
